Sri Lanka will be up against Papua New Guinea in what would be the second warm-up game of both teams in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. After getting another match practice, both teams will move for the Regular matches of the World Cup. Papua New Guinea is although not in the race for the World Cup and their performance in the first warm-up game against Ireland displayed it. We can’t say it’s going to be a cracking encounter between Sri Lanka and Papua New Guinea but still would like to see some better show from Papua New Guinea so that they can claim their chances for facing big teams in the T20 World Cup. The match will be played at Sheikh Zayed Stadium Nursery 2, Abu Dhabi, and will begin at 11:30 AM.
Sri Lanka Team Preview
Batsmen like Dasun Shanaka and senior player Dinesh Chandimal will be desperate to make big scorers so that they can get a chance to open up their hands. Avishka Fernando is unarguably the best batsman from the Sri Lankan team in past some time. He can be terrific with the bat and if he managed to stay for some time at the wicket then the runs will automatically start flowing easily.
Dhananjaya de Silva is the top batting allrounder in the team and he is able to perform to his potential against any team. It is not going to be much difficult for him to score runs against the so looking weak bowling unit of Papua New Guinea.
Dushmantha Chameera, Binura Fernando, and Akila Dananjaya have enjoyed some fine performances in their bowling recently. They can create an impact on any team with their bowling on any surface and any conditions. Although it will not be a big test for these bowlers against Papua New Guinea batting still need to be at their best in this warm-up match.
Papua New Guinea Team Preview
There were not many positives in the Papua New Guinea team in their first warm-up game against Ireland. Batting first they were bowled out for just 96 runs and the only positive sign in that match was the captain’s Assad vala inning of 32 runs but that too was a bit slow as it came in 38 runs. No other batsmen were able to cross a mark of 20 runs. Assad Vala will be confident to do some scoring in this match against Sri Lanka also. Other batsmen like Tony Ura, Charles Amini, and Sese Bau have been inconsistent and they need to show some consistency by proving their ability with the bat.
Bowling for Papua New Guinea too was on a lower side as defending a small total of 96 runs they were able to take away just two wickets of Ireland and their bowlers were giving easy runs to the opposition. The two wickets that fell in that game were in the bag of Simon Atai and Charles Amini. These two bowlers are good bowlers and they need to look for opportunities to pick early wickets. There are no big names to mention in the bowling of Papua New Guinea but Chad Soper and captain Assad Vala can also bowl out some fine spells.

Sri Lanka vs Papua New Guinea Dream11 Team Prediction
Wicket-Keeper
Dinesh Chandimal(9) is the most experienced player in Sri Lanka and he can change the game with his great batting abilities. So he is our top pick for the Wicket-keeper.
Batsmen
Avishka Fernando(9) makes the Sri Lanka team a very well-balanced batting side due to his high level of batting performances in recent times. He is also our choice of Captain. Bhanuka Rajapaksa(8.5), Tony Ura(9.5), and Charith Asalanka(8.5) are also the type of batsmen who can pull off the win from the opposition team from nowhere.
All-Rounders
Assad Vala(9.5) can chip in some important wickets and can play a calm and composed inning with the bat also. So he is our choice for the Vice Captain. Dasun Shanaka(9.5) and Charles Amini(9.5) add depth to their team with both batting and bowling.
Bowlers
Dushmantha Chameera(9), Chad Soper(8.5), Chamika Karunaratne(8.5) can won the matches with their bowling performance from a totally hopeless position. These are not at all a bad choice for top bowlers in the Dream11 team.
