Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamsala is all set to host 1st ODI of the 3 ODI series between Indian and South Africa. The match will begin at 1:30 PM IST.
India:
Shikhar Dhawan is back into the side after injury is is likely to open with Prithvi Shaw in the presence of injured Rohit Sharma. Shikhar Dhawan was playing pretty consistently for the team before sitting out due to injury and his return to the team will be a big boost. He can give convincing start while opening and can covert it into big scores. Another player to look out will be the captain Kohili, although was not through good runs in the recent New Zealand tour but hopefull he will find his form back soon and boost the morale of the team with some big knock.
Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul are also in good form and can take the team’s batting responsibility at any stage of the game. The biggest advantage for team India will be the return of Hardik Pandya who can make an impact against any team with his batting and bowling.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar is also back and he along with Jasprit Bumrah makes the Indian bowling a power packed bowling unit. Ravindra Jadeja and Yuzvendra Chahal can do incredibly well with their spin bowling.
South Africa:
Faf du Plessis has been re-called into the South Africa team for India tour while Quinton de Kock has been retained as captain. Quinton de Kock and Temba Bavuma are in good form with the bat and the team dependency will be be lot on these. Inclusion of Faf du Plessis will add more talent to the team and he can make his presence felt with the bats. The middle order of South Africa lacks somewhere. They have to choose between Heinrich Klaasen or David Miller and if they get chance then then they have to covert it into good performance with the bat.
Andile Phehlukwayo, Lungi Ngidi and Keshav Maharaj are the three key names in South Africa bowling and they have to find a way from start in order to restrict Indian batsmen.
