Malaysia batsmen had failure at the top in the chase of 114 runs against Thailand. But the lower order in the name of Muhamad Syahadat and Syed Aziz with their 41 and 27 runs respectively showed their hitting capablities well and safely helped the Malaysia team to won the match by 5 wickets. Although Malaysia team won the match against Thailand due to effort of their lowers order, but we would love to see some good batting performance from their top batsmen like Virandeep Singh, Anwar Arudin and Shafiq Sharif (wk) in the next match against Maldives.
Before making 41 runs in the chase, Muhamad Syahadat took 3 important wickets against Thailand and showed how good alrounder he is. Malaysia team would want Syahadat to do the same thing with both bat and ball.
Maldives Team
Maldives team would want their top batsmen Umar Adam and Mohamed Rishwan to fire against Malaysia bowlers to help team post a good score. Maldives bowlers specially Mohamed Mahfooz and Ahmed Hassan will have the responsibilites to choke the batting lineup of Malaysia.
