West Indies have revealed their 15 members squad for ICC World Cup 2019. West Indies Cricket board have decided to continue Jason Holder as the captain and recalled ace alrounder Andre Russell.
Kieron Polard and Sunil Narine have not been choosen in this squad.
Andre Russell is hitting hard in the ongoing IPL 2019 and has played many match winnings innings at various occasions. He has done quite well with the ball also. So his selection is going to be beneficial for the West Indies team in World Cup.
Universe boss Chris Gayle and Evin Lewis are likely to take up the opening slot for West Indies in World Cup, whereas Darren Bravo, Shai Hope and Shimron Hetmyer will handle the batting responsibilites in the middle order.
Andre Russell, Jason Holder and Carlos Brathwaite are the tremendous allrounders in West Indies side who will give an extra boost to the team in both batting and bowling department.
Fast bowlers Sheldon Cottrell, Kemar Roach, Oshane Thomas and Shannon Gabriel makes West Indies a magnificient bowling attack also.
As the main spinners Sunil Narine and Devendra Bishoo have not been included in the World Cup squad, so Ashley Nurse and Fabian Allen will be the two spinning options in the team.
Nicholas Pooran and Shai Hope are the two wicket keeping and batsmen options in the West Indies team.
